Off unless you say yes. On first open Gulburger asks whether it may collect anonymous usage stats. If you decline, nothing is sent.
What is collected (only if you agree): a random ID created on your device (no name, email, account or advertising ID); app opens; which verses you view and for how long; favourites; searches you type; shares; read-aloud plays; your device type and operating system (from the browser's user agent); and your country (and approximate city/region) as derived by our host, Netlify, from your connection. IP addresses are not stored.
Why: to see which poems people actually read and decide what to add next.
Where: stored with Netlify (Netlify Blobs). Not sold, not shared, not used for advertising, no cross-app tracking. Day-level records are deleted after 12 months.
Your controls: Settings → "Turn off" stops collection; "Delete my data" erases everything stored for your device's ID and resets it. Favourites and read marks live only on your device.
